This introductory information session is designed to provide the basic facts about starting a small business in NSW. It also encourages participants to seriously consider their commitment to starting a business.
Outcomes include:
Review of "Starting a Business" Checklist - the Research and Establishment Phases
Discussion of the benefits and challenges of being self-employed
Start-up procedures - ABN, Business Name, Insurance, etc.
Useful resources for helping you start and grow your business

During this information session, we look at start-up success factors, identifying business goals, small business foundations, as well as business viability and promotional strategies.The session includes:
• Understanding the foundations of business success
• Identifying entrepreneurial qualities for success
• Identifying and setting business goals
• Case studies of successful businesses
