This workshop would benefit those looking at commencing a business or those already in business.
Workshop aim
Participants will gain tools for analysing their financial reports to improve their business. This 3 hour workshop aims to provide some basic financial literacy for participants to discuss business and financial issues with a partner, bank, bookkeeper or an accountant.
The workshops looks at the main financial indicators to compare and review small business financial performance.
Outcomes
The facilitator will discuss these important topics::
Understand the use of Profit and Loss Statements;
Why it is important to compare industry benchmarks;
Debtors and creditors, and chasing money;
The difference between Gross Profit and Net Profit; and
Identify sources of help including Website addresses.
A sample financial benchmark and cashbook software will be presented to highlight the use of current technology to assist your small business management.
This workshop is part of the Pathway Program.
By completing all workshops and attending business networking events will further assist your business skills development.
